Applicant Eligibility
The Summer School primarily targets undergraduate students from domestic and international universities. A limited number of graduate students and young scholars from universities and research institutions, as well as professionals from public, nonprofit and for-profit sectors, may also get admitted. For high school students or recent graduates (limited to Chinese nationals only) with a strong interest in the Summer School, please feel free to inquire about the program via email before applying.
Chinese and international students of any nationality are welcome.
Applicants should have strong English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills (proof of English proficiency is required).
Application Materials
Valid form of identity (Passport information page; Chinese students may provide their ID card);
Recent, front-facing, colored passport-sized photograph with no headwear;
Personal resume (Either in Chinese or English);
Transcript; Non-students should provide proof of employment;
English proficiency proof, such as TOEFL, GRE, IELTS, or CET-4/6 scores. This requirement may be waived if your working language or university instruction language is English.

Application and Admission
Application Deadline for Summer School: July 13th, 2025 (Enjoy a 10% tuition discount for applications submitted before May 1st).
To ensure the quality of learning, each student may enroll in a maximum of two courses per session (Please avoid registering for courses offered during the same time slot).
Upon receiving the application materials, the review committee will comprehensively consider the applicant’s professional background, academic potential, and overall abilities for selective admissionuntil the maximum enrollment for each course is reached.
* Admission results will be notified via email within 10 business days after receiving the application. For international students, the admission notice required for Visa application will typically be delivered to the provided address within 15-20 business days.
* As Visa application may take an extended period, please complete the application process as early as possible.

Students who meet any of the following conditions are eligible for a 10% tuition fee discount:
Students who complete their application, admission procedures, and tuition payment before May 1st, 2025 (before midnight, Beijing time);
Students from Fudan University, member universities of the Fudan Nordic Centre, member universities of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), and partner institutions of IGPP (see below for details). This tuition fee discount is valid throughout the registration period.
* Partner institutions of IGPP include London School of Economics and Political Science, American University in Cairo, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil, National Institute of Development Administration in Thailand, National Research University Higher School of Economics in Russia, University of Pennsylvania, South African Institute of International Affairs, and University of Hong Kong, and member institutions of the China-Arab Network of Schools of Public Policy and Administration (CANSPPA).
Payment Method
Students should complete the payment within 10 business days after receiving the admission email notification. Please save a screenshot of the completed payment and email it to igppadmin@fudan.edu.cn to inform the payment completion.
Tuition fees should be paid via bank transfer to Fudan University’s account. When making the transfer, please indicate “Global Public Policy Summer School + Student Name” in the remarks section. Fudan University’s bank account information is as follows:

Refund Policy
In case that a course is not offered by the Summer School, students who have registered that course have the option to either enroll in a different course or request a full refund. If students are unable to participate in the summer course due to other reasons related to the organizing institution, they may apply for a full refund.
Regarding course withdrawal for personal reasons:
a. If the withdrawal request is made before May 1st, a refund of 75% of the paid tuition fees can be applied for;
b. If the withdrawal request is made between May 1st and June 15th, a refund of 50% of the paid tuition fees can be applied for;
c. If the withdrawal request is made after June 15th, no refund application will be accepted.
Visa application (For International Students Only)
Preliminary admission results will first be sent to accepted international students via email. Subsequently, the International Students Office of Fudan University will mail the official admission notice to international students. Students can follow the instructions on the admission notice and download the visa application form (JW202 form) from the Study in China website (https://www.studyinchina.edu.cn). With the admission notice and visa application form, students can apply for an X2 visa at the Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country.

Insurance
To ensure the safety of international students during their stay in China, according to the regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, international students are required to purchase International Student Insurance. If they have already purchased similar insurance, there is no need to purchase it again. The insurance costs for international students are as follows:
