Katja Levy is an associate professor in the political science department at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. She has taught and researched at the University of Manchester, Technical University of Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, and University of Würzburg. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin and a Master Degree in Chinese Studies and Public Law from the University of Hamburg. Among others, she is co-author of "Charity with Chinese Characteristics" (Edward Elgar, 2020) and co-editor of  中国与德国政社合作服务观察 (家行政管理出版社出版, 2021) and other books. Her articles appeared in Journal of Chinese Political Science, Journal of Contemporary Chinese Affairs, Nonprofit Policy Forum, Pacific Affairs and others.
