Recently, Global Public Policy and Governance (GPPG), hosted by the Institute for Global Public Policy at Fudan University, has been indexed by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science. ESCI was launched by Clarivate in 2015 and includes emerging high-quality academic journals, forming the Web of Science Core Collection along with SCI, SSCI, and AHCI. This means that all articles published since the inception of GPPG will be included in the WOS database, and the journal is expected to receive its first impact factor this June.

GPPG was officially launched in the spring of 2021 and has successfully published 13 issues so far. The journal is edited by Professor Jing Yijia, Dean of the Institute for Global Public Policy at Fudan University, with Professor Evan Berman from FGV University in Brazil and Professor Gong Ting from City University of Hong Kong serving as executive editors. The editorial board consists of 45 internationally renowned scholars from 11 countries.

GPPG focuses on cutting-edge issues in global governance, and is committed to promoting interdisciplinary research to reflect how increasing global interdependence shapes the value, structure, dynamics, and outcomes of public policy and governance. GPPG welcomes empirical research and theoretical discussions reflecting new paradigms and practices related to organizations, administration, management, and policies from a global or comparative perspective. In addition, the newly established Global Frontiers section of the journal attempts to invite descriptive or explanatory research reflecting important practical phenomena in global governance, aiming to build a dialogue platform to promote organic interaction between theory and practice.

GPPG was included in the internationally renowned SCOPUS database in the summer of 2022, and in the same year, it was selected for the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Journal Database of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences. Being included in ESCI this time is another important milestone in GPPG's development, reflecting the increasing recognition of the paper quality of GPPG by the international academic and publishing community.

We sincerely thank the editorial board members, editorial team, and peer reviewers of GPPG. We also extend our gratitude to the Springer Nature group, the journal's authors, and our wide readership! GPPG looks forward to working with colleagues from all sectors to further advance the theory and practice of global governance.
