Profile
Ping Zhang is a Professor and Assistant Dean in the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University. He got his BA in Geophysics from Nanjing University, MA in Economics from Tsinghua University, and Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from the University of Georgia. His research focuses on public finance, public policy, property taxation, and local governance. His recent articles appear in Journal of Development Economics, China Economic Review, Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, International Public Management Journal, Public Administration and Development, Journal of Contemporary China, Public Personnel Management, Public Finance and Management, Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management, and in some Chinese journals such as Economic Research Journal (《经济研究》), Comparative Studies (《比较》), Finance & Trade Economics (《财贸经济》), Chinese Public Administration (《中国行政管理》), Comparative Economic & Social Systems (《经济社会体制比较》) Journal of Public Administration (《公共行政评论》), and Journal of Public Management (《公共管理学报》). He is also a recipient of Pu Shan Award (浦山奖) for the policy research.
