It proposes a multidisciplinary perspective on the evolution of the globalization and its effects on national politics and economic development. The objective is to understand the linkages and tension between international development and national variation. Part of the course will provide a theoretical grounding in the “classics” subfields of international political economy such as trade, finance and multilateral corporations.
