丹•古特曼(Dan Guttman)是一名老师,律师,曾经是一名公务员。在2004至2006年,丹作为富布赖特学者(China Fulbright),与同事一起在美国开发了环境,法律,治理和实践法律的比较项目。

他曾担任总统咨询委员会生物伦理学领域的执行主任,被总统任命为美国职业健康与安全审查委员会委员,指导美国参议院就美国政府的能源和环境管理进行调查和听证,并且是联合国开发计划署在中国环境法领域的“外国专家顾问”。

他是天津大学法学院的教授、复旦大学全球公共政策研究院兼职教授以及纽约大学亚美法研究所研究员。他曾在北京,清华,南京,上海交通大学做客座教授,并在约翰•霍普金斯大学和上海纽约大学任教多年。

作为律师,他曾代表城市,州,公民和工人参与关于能源、环境、反垄断、人权和反腐败的诉讼。他是一家公司的合伙人,该公司在将反垄断法应用于电力公司的诉讼方面开创了先河。他是Guttman. Buschner & Brooks的律师,该公司是专门从事反腐败诉讼的。该公司的律师帮助政府从医疗,金融和能源公司以及军事承包商那里收回了数十亿美元。
