The China-EU Dialogue on Global Governance and the Role of Culture

Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) will host the Fudan-Treccani-Vigoni Joint Programme for the China-EU Dialogue on Global Governance and the Role of Culture at Fudan University from 25 May to 27, 2025, in cooperation with the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani and Villa Vigoni, German-Italian Centre for the European Dialogue.

The programme will be conducted entirely in English. We are now recruiting approximately eight student presenters from among current Fudan master’s and doctoral students. There will be four thematic sessions, with two student speakers assigned to each session.

Session 1 – Cultural Diplomacy in the New Global Context: China and the EU

Session 2 – Concepts in Transition: China’s Culture of Global Governance

Session 3 – Concepts in Transition: EU’s Culture of Global Governance

Session 4 – New Way Forward: The Role of Culture between Deglobalization and Global Governance

Each selected student will deliver an 8-minute presentation in English under the assigned theme, followed by in-depth discussions with faculty and student representatives from European partner universities, Villa Vigoni, and Treccani. Selected students are expected to participate in the full programme of thematic sessions and exchanges on May 26–27.
