讲座内容/ Abstract:
People have been comparing since the beginning of time. This lecture discusses making comparisons across countries, public organizations and public policies. Countries face very similar challenges of global warming and sustainability, economic growth, health, and education, and there is much to learn from others. This lecture discusses seven (7) ways of making comparisons. It discusses recent advances in making comparisons and shows examples from frontier research and research methods. Participants will learn the value of comparison, different approaches, and how to use comparison in their current research projects and practice.
