THE SPEAKER
Tim Pringle has been the Editor of China Quarterly since January 2017. He has been a Senior Lecturer at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London since 2012. Pringle got his PhD from the Department of Sociology, University of Warwick. He has published several books on trade unions like Trade unions in China: the challenge of labour unrest, and The challenge of transition: trade unions in Russia, China and Vietnam.
ABSTRACT
The lecture will be based on Tim Pringle’s edited book, Trade Unions in Transition from Command Economies to Market Economies. Although the 400 page book covers many former command economies, his focus would be on China, Russia and Vietnam.
