Survey-based research has faced increasing scrutiny in top journals due to concerns over common method bias and other methodological limitations, with experimental methods being increasingly favored. In this talk, the speaker will explore these challenges and propose strategies to address key criticisms of survey-based research. Additionally, he will anticipate potential reviewer concerns regarding the limitations of surveys. As an illustration, he will discuss the methodological approach of two recent papers he published in Public Administration Review (PAR).
