About the Centre
The Fudan-Arab Research Centre for Global Development and Governance is an international research center established jointly by Fudan University and the Association of Arab Universities (AARU). It is a key cooperation project that is supported by the Secretariat General of the League of Arab States. The center is dedicated to promoting academic and cultural exchanges between scholars from both sides, organizing academic, cultural, and social activities, facilitating joint research, publications, and public services, and fostering student exchanges and collaborations between China and Arab countries in degree and non-degree programs. The center also conducts professional training programs. It is administratively supported by the Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy.
On October 28, 2023, the Fudan-Arab Research Centre was launched at the inaugural China-Arab Forum on Global Development and Governance. President Li Jin of Fudan University, Secretary-General Salama of the AARU, President Yubo Du of the China Association of Higher Education, and Director Farraj of the Education and Scientific Research Department of the League of Arab States jointly witnessed the center's launch and unveiled its plaque.
