The Hong Kong ICAC Holds Recruitment Seminar

On March 20, 2025, the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) held a recruitment seminar at Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP). The event was attended by Yien Wang, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption (IAAC), Hoi-yin Chung, Chief Academy Officer of Anti-Corruption Studies, and other officials. The seminar was hosted by Associate Professor Haoqi Qian of IGPP, who expressed his hope that the session would help generate broader social support for anti-corruption efforts and attract exceptional talent.

During the seminar, Director Wang provided an overview of the history, challenges, and achievements of ICAC. She highlighted that ICAC has been known for its efficiency and professionalism since its establishment, evolving into a globally renowned anti-corruption agency. She particularly emphasized the importance of interdepartmental collaboration. Ms. Chung introduced missions and plans of IAAC, explaining that the agency aims to establish a global platform for promoting integrity. She also highlighted IAAC’s comprehensive framework for integrating global perspectives with local practices, facilitated by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with leading academic institutions. Chun-pan Choi, Investigator at the Operations Department; Man-ting Lu, Community Relations Officer; and Tze-shun Lo, Senior Corruption Prevention Officer, shared insights from their respective fields. Chun-yau Li, Senior Academy Officer of Training and Development, provided a detailed explanation of application process and career development pathways for recruits.

Finally, faculty and students engaged in an in-depth Q&A session with ICAC officials. Since ICAC’s first recruitment seminar at Fudan University in 2024, the event has consistently aimed to foster patriotism and strengthen talent exchange between the Mainland and Hong Kong.
