On August 31, 2026, a delegation from the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University, including Dean Yijia Jing, Associate Dean Haoqi Qian, and Office Director Rong Zhang, visited the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) at the University of Macau for an academic exchange. They held a meeting with Dean Weixing Hu of the Faculty of Social Sciences; Assistant Dean Bo Wen; Director Yonghong Wu of the Department of Government and Public Administration; Associate Professor Xiangning Wu; and Chair Professor Wei Pan.

During the meeting, Dean Jing and Dean Hu respectively introduced the two institutions and shared their ideas for future collaboration. IGPP and FSS have already established a strong foundation for cooperation. The FSS is a member of the China-Arab Network of Schools of Public Policy and Administration (CANSPPA), an initiative launched by IGPP, and its faculty members have also actively contributed to the IGPP’s journal development and other initiatives. During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the development of academic associations and journals, regional studies, scholar exchanges, academic conferences, talent development, and non-degree training programs.

Looking ahead, the two institutions will build on their respective bases in Shanghai and Macao to expand cooperation across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond, advancing collaboration in research, talent development, and public service in the fields of public policy and public governance.
