On October 30, 2023, a delegation from the Secretariat of the League of Arab States (LAS) paid an official visit to the Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy. Mr. Faraj, the Director of Education and Scientific Research Department, and Ms. Hayam Al-Sallal, a foreign affairs official, participated in the visit. The delegation received a warm reception from Professor Yijia Jing, the Dean of the Institute for Global Public Policy.

The LAS delegation was invited to Fudan University to attend the inaugural China-Arab Forum on Global Development and Governance and to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the university. In the future, both parties will closely collaborate to establish a series of innovative and leading China-Arab higher education and research projects, aiming to elevate China-Arab university cooperation to new heights.
