IGPP and LSE Co-Sponsored the Shanghai Forum Panel on “Global Development and Governance”

On October 27, 2023, the panel Global Development and Governance under Shanghai Forum was successfully held. The panel was jointly organized by the Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy and the Department of International Development at the London School of Economics (LSE). Professor Yijia Jing and Professor Kathryn Hochstetler served as co-conveners of the panel. Experts and scholars from home and abroad delivered speeches and engaged in dialogue on important topics and cutting-edge developments in global development and governance. Important guests, including Professor Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, attended the forum.

The first part of the panel was chaired by Professor Yijia Jing. Professor Walid A. Salameh, Senior Advisor to the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Åse Gornitzka, Executive Vice Rector of the University of Oslo, Professor Naigen Zhang, Director of the Intellectual Property Research Center at Fudan University, and Professor Sofiane Sahraoui, Secretary-General of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, delivered speeches.

The second part of the panel was chaired by Professor Hochstetler. Professor Hochstetler, Professor Yu Zheng from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University, Professor Daniel Guttman, Adjunct Professor from the Institute for Global Public Policy at Fudan University and Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, and Professor Liang Feng from Nanjing University delivered speeches.
