On March 27th, the Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) organized the Fudan-LSE undergraduate student joint research projects academic briefing. Professor Yijia Jing, the Dean of the IGPP, Professor Dwayne Woods from Purdue University, Assistant Professor Yunxiong Li of IGPP, as well as several undergraduate students from Fudan University and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) participated in the event.
Professor Jing first introduced the purpose of organizing this activity, expressing the hope that students would make progress through their participation. He briefly introduced the collaborative relationship between Fudan University and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and then introduced Professor Woods. Professor Woods shared his research interests and experiences with the audience. Subsequently, students from the four groups took turns reporting on the progress of their research projects.
The first group conducted research on the attitudes of European consumers towards Chinese electric vehicles and the influencing factors. The second group presented their research on Decoding the Global Narrative with Regional Perspectives: A Decade of the Belt and Road Initiative Through the Lens of Global Think Tanks. The third group explored the politics of reconciliation by comparing two groups of reconciled countries. The fourth group presented their research on China’s Pro-natal Policies and the Implementation by the Shanghai Government. Professor Woods provided specific comments and suggestions on the four studies.
