On May 9, 2025, Springer Nature hosted the 2025 Partner Journal Forum in Shanghai, celebrating the 20th anniversary of supporting Chinese academia in developing high-quality international journals. The forum gathered numerous Chinese journal partners and senior management from both domestic and international offices to share the latest publishing trends and successful experiences. During the forum, Springer Nature presented Impact Awards to 24 Chinese partner journals.

The journal Global Public Policy and Governance (GPPG) received the “International Impact Award for Chinese Partner Journals.” Jia Han, the executive publisher responsible for GPPG at Springer Nature, attended the forum on behalf of the journal and accepted the award from Marieke Cambeen, Executive Vice President of Springer Journals. The award recognizes journals that have achieved outstanding results in promoting international collaboration and advancing global academic exchange.

GPPG distinguished itself through its professional editorial management, a diverse international editorial board, and thematic issues that address pressing global topics. In a relatively short period, the journal has published a substantial number of high-quality research articles, established a strong presence in the field of public policy and global governance, gained wide recognition, and successfully received its first Impact Factor in 2024, ranking as a Q2 journal.
