Prof. Li Tang
Li Tang (PhD in Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology) is a professor in public policy at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University. Her current research focuses on responsible research and innovation, international scientific collaboration, and talents mobility. Her research has appeared in Nature, Science, Science and Public Policy. She is a co-inventor of the US granted patent “Identification disambiguation in databases”. Her research has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation of China, and the Ministry of Education, among others.
Prof. Cong Cao
Cong Cao (PhD in Sociology, Columbia University) is a professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. His research has focused on science, technology, and innovation in China from the social science perspective, including scientific elite; human resources in science and technology; research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in nanotechnology and biotechnology; and the governance of science and technology. He is the author or co-author of five books, most recently, GMO China: How Global Debates Transformed China’s Agricultural Biotechnology Policies (Columbia University Press, 2018) and The Political Economy of Science, Technology, and Innovation in China: Policymaking, Funding, Talent, and Organization (Cambridge University Press, 2023). His research has been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation, European Union’s Framework Program (FP) 7, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, among others.
