Launched in spring 2021 and published by Springer Nature, GPPG serves as the flagship journal of the China–Arab Network for Public Policy and Administration (CANSPPA). To date, it has published 17 issues under the leadership of founding editor-in-chief Dean Yijia Jing of IGPP. Its editorial board includes 44 internationally renowned scholars from 11 countries and regions. Since its inception, GPPG has pursued initiatives such as themed issues, a young editorial board, and annual academic conferences, enabling it to publish a substantial number of high-quality research articles in a short period and gain broad recognition in the field of global governance. The journal was indexed in SCOPUS in 2022, included in China’s AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Database for Humanities and Social Science Journals the same year, and added to the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) under Web of Science in 2024. In 2025, GPPG received Springer Nature’s “International Influence Award,” and Dean Jing was recognized as a “Distinguished Editor” by Springer Nature in 2022.
