Leading Public Policy Universities under the “China–Arab Universities 10+10 Cooperation Plan” Hold Working Meeting in Morocco

On June 19, 2025, Fudan University Chairman of University Council Xin Qiu led a delegation to visit Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. Professor Karim El Aynaoui, Executive Vice President of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, received the Fudan delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on potential cooperation in the fields of public policy, global governance, Arab studies, and emerging engineering disciplines.

In his welcome address, Professor Aynaoui emphasized that the essence of education lies in cultivating future-oriented talent, thereby advancing economic and social development and improving people’s livelihoods. He noted that Morocco hopes to draw on China’s development path and experiences to promote its own progress, and that Mohammed VI Polytechnic University looks forward to deepening educational cooperation with Fudan. Chairman Qiu expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. He highlighted that Fudan University is committed to advancing and sharing global knowledge. It also places special importance on building innovative partnerships with universities in Belt and Road countries, including those in the Arab world. He also recalled that 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the dispatch of the China Medical Team from Shanghai Medical College to Morocco, a legacy that has forged deep ties between Fudan and Morocco. As the leading public policy universities under the “China–Arab 10+10 University Cooperation Plan” in 2024, both have actively promoted exchanges and collaboration among Chinese and Arab public policy schools. He expressed hope for further deepened cooperation across multiple fields, particularly public policy.

Professor Khalid Chegraoui, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Governance, Economic and Social Sciences at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and Arab co-lead of the “10+10 Cooperation Plan,” held working discussions with Dean Yijia Jing of the Institute for Global Public Policy at Fudan University and Chinese co-lead of the initiative. The two sides exchanged concrete views on eight areas of collaboration.

Professor Ming Liu, Dean of the College of Integrated Circuits and Micro-Nano Electronics; Professor Xiaoyang Zeng, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology; Professor Yiyang Cheng, Chair of the Department of Spanish; and Associate Professor Chuchu Zhang from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs attended the working meeting.
