Thai Budget Bureau paid a visit to the IGPP

On June 28, 2024, a delegation from the Thai Budget Bureau, led by Sarintip Tanavichitpun, Senior Advisor of the Budget Bureau, visited the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University. Professor Yijia Jing, Dean of the IGPP, warmly welcomed the delegation and held in-depth discussions on related cooperation matters. Around 150 mid-to-senior-level officials from Thai central and local government departments, businesses, and universities, as well as faculty and students from the IGPP, participated in the activity.

During the academic exchange session, Dr. Wenjuan Li from the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Statistics gave a report on the current economic and social development situation in Shanghai. Associate Professor Qihao Qian and  Ziteng Fan, and assistant professor Jingyuan Xu from the IGPP respectively introduced the latest policy developments in the areas of China's climate governance, the development of China's digital public services, and China's digital public financial management. Professor Danuvas Sagarik, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration at the National Institute of Development Administration in Thailand, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Thai side for the IGPP's careful organization of the academic exchange activity.

After the exchange session, the IGPP held an internal discussion with the Thai Budget Bureau. Both sides had in-depth discussions, focusing on providing degree training for Thai public sector officials through the International Master of Public Administration (IMPA) program, and conducted preliminary planning for various arrangements. Officials from the Thai Budget Bureau, Vice President Pitipong Yodmongkol from Chiang Mai University, and Professor Sagarik participated in the discussion.
