On June 24, 2024, the China Association of Higher Education and the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) jointly held a meeting for the China-Arab University 10+10 Cooperation Plan in Amman, Jordan. Chunhua Yan, Director the China-Arab Consortium of Universities Exchange Mechanism and President of Lanzhou University, Amr Salama, Secretary-General of the AARU, Chuandong Chen, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, and Yansung Li, Executive Director of the China-Arab Consortium of Universities Exchange Mechanism and President of Shanghai International Studies University, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Nearly 30 representatives from the leading universities of the ten cooperation areas on both the Chinese and Arab sides attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xiaojie Gao, Director of the Academic and Exchange Department of the China Association of Higher Education.

Yijia Jing, Dean of the Institute for Global Public Policy, Fudan University, participated in the matchmaking meeting as the Chinese representative in the field of public policy, and had an in-depth exchange and discussion on relevant cooperation with Khalid Chegraoui, Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Morocco.
