Prof. Evan Berman

Evan Berman is Adjunct Chair Professor at Institute of Global Public Policy of Fudan University and Professor of Pubic Management at FGV/EAESP  (São Paulo School of Business Administration) in Brasil. Evan is an internationally renowned professor in the fields of public performance and management, comparative public management, and public HRM. He spent about 14 years in Asia-Pacific and has received awards for his work, including the Fred Riggs Award for Lifetime Achievement in International and Comparative Public Administration (2015). His current research interests focus on public performance and management, leadership and HR in the public sector. He has published many articles in all of the leading international journals in public administration, 15 books and is a co-author of the leading textbook “Human Resources Management in Public Service” (Sage 2021, 7th ed). He has worked with government ministries and agencies and serves on editorial boards of journals and as journal editor.
