On the morning of November 3, 2025, the opening ceremony of the “Excellence in Leadership, Innovation in Action” Global Leadership Training Program was held at Fudan University. The program is organized by the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University. Attending the ceremony were Dean Yijia Jing of IGPP and Dong Li, Party Secretary and Vice General Manager of Shandong Wangrui Wuchan Co., Ltd. The ceremony was hosted by Associate Professor Ziteng Fan of IGPP, with all program participants in attendance.
At the opening, Dean Jing warmly welcomed the participants from Shandong Wangrui Wuchan. He introduced IGPP’s research focus and talent development practices in public management and global governance, emphasizing the institute’s dedication to cultivating global governance professionals with strong expertise, broad international perspectives, and exceptional cross-cultural communication and leadership skills. Dean Jing highlighted the importance of leadership development amid profound global transformations and encouraged participants to view the program as an opportunity to expand their international outlook, sharpen strategic thinking, and strengthen comprehensive leadership capabilities, while experiencing Shanghai’s openness and innovative spirit and Fudan University’s academic depth and commitment to societal progress.

Secretary Li addressed the participants, noting that the autumn gathering at Fudan marks the beginning of a new journey of learning and reflection. He emphasized that the training takes place at a pivotal moment, as China concludes its 14th Five-Year Plan and prepares for the 15th. He highlighted that its significance lies not only in knowledge acquisition but also in fostering new thinking and translating learning into action. He encouraged participants to approach the program with an open mind, apply classroom insights to practical work, and strive to combine deep knowledge, thoughtful reflection, and effective action, thereby strengthening strategic execution and innovation capacity to support high-quality enterprise development.

Associate Professor Fan introduced the structure of the program. The five-day training focuses on global leadership, innovation management, digital transformation, and public governance. Through structured courses, thematic seminars, and practical visits, the program aims to help participants understand trends in governance transformation from a global perspective, broaden their thinking, deepen their knowledge, and strengthen strategic and management skills.

The session hosts 60 mid-level and key management personnel. Participant representative Xiaohan Ren expressed enthusiasm for the program, pledging to actively engage in learning, broaden knowledge, expand perspectives, and enhance skills through the classroom experience at Fudan University.
