On September 10, 2025, a delegation from the Scholarship Office of the UAE Presidential Affairs Department, including Director Abdulla Alshebli, Chief Academic Advisor Al Anoud Al Mansoori, and Assistant Advisor Yanyan Li, visited the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University. Dean Yijia Jing, Assistant Professor Jingyuan Xu, and Director Xiangrong Zhang of Fudan University’s International Students Office welcomed the delegation.

Dean Jing welcomed the delegation and recalled his visit to the Scholarship Office in May of the same year. He introduced IGPP’s recent achievements and future plans for cooperation with Arab countries, particularly the UAE. The delegation expressed strong interest in IGPP’s student training programs and conveyed their intention to further refine project plans to ensure the concrete implementation of collaborative initiatives.

In 2025, the Scholarship Office of the UAE Presidential Affairs Department signed an MOU with Fudan University and six other leading Chinese universities to send scholarship students to China annually. Within the broader strategic framework for China–Arab cooperation, IGPP will utilize the Fudan–Arab Research Centre for Global Development and Governance platform to strengthen collaboration in student training and educational exchanges.
