The Institute for Global Public Policy Held the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

 On September 25, the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) held a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in the Student Activity Square of Guanghua Towers to promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture and strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.

In addition to the faculty and students of IGPP, the celebration also invited freshmen of the undergraduate interdisciplinary program Global Public Policy and Governance and exchange undergraduate students of the London School of Economics and Political Science at Fudan University. In this Mid-Autumn Festival evening, the faculty and students not only experienced a strong festive atmosphere but also deepened their understanding and knowledge of traditional Mid-Autumn Festival culture.


Dean's Remarks

At the beginning of the party, Professor Jing Yijia, Dean of the IGPP, delivered a speech, extending holiday greetings and sincere wishes to the students, and officially announced the commencement of the event.

Mooncake tasting

A variety of mooncakes and fruit tea were prepared for the evening. After introducing Cantonese mooncakes, Beijing mooncakes, and Su mooncakes by freshmen Yu Weicheng, Zhang Yifan, and Yang Yining, the students enjoyed the different types of mooncakes together.

Spectacular performances

The party featured a lineup of wonderful performances, including the play “Chang'e Flies to the Moon”performed by Liang Leyan (China), Theo Huvos Storella (United States), Tian Jingxian (Sweden), Imaoka Tetsuya (Japan), Liu Yiqing (China), and Luo Haoning (China); the song “I Only Care About You” performed by Audrey Berder (France); Chinese dance“Drunk in Spring Breeze”performed by Qiao Heyu (China); and a guitar performance of “Valerie” by Mai Mai Morley (United Kingdom). The talented and versatile students showcased their skills and performed with heartfelt dedication, igniting an atmosphere of excitement throughout the event.

The game section was organized with a group table tennis relay competition, which attracted active participation from the students, provided opportunities for them to interact, and lit up the atmosphere of the party.

Delicious mooncakes, wonderful programs, and interesting games made students from all over the world spend an unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival. They gained happiness and deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
