Delegation from the SGP at the University of Hong Kong Visits IGPP at Fudan University

On March 2, 2026, a delegation from the School of Governance and Policy (SGP) at The University of Hong Kong visited the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University. The delegation was led by Dean Kenneth Wong of SGP and included Assistant Registrar Xiaoxia Xue and Manager Xiulang Rao. They were received by Dean Yijia Jing of IGPP; Guolin Shen, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of Fudan University; Associate Professor Ping Jiang and Assistant Professor Xin Ye of IGPP; and Yilun Luo, Section Chief of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the longstanding partnership and close ties between the two universities and highlighted the strong alignment between the two institutes in interdisciplinary research and education in public policy and governance. They exchanged views on potential areas for future collaboration and agreed to actively promote practical cooperation across multiple fields and levels. Proposed initiatives include jointly organizing training programs, facilitating faculty research exchanges and visits, developing joint degree programs, and expanding both long-term and short-term student exchange opportunities.

The School of Governance and Policy at the University of Hong Kong was established in 2025 and is jointly administered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Business and Economics, and the Faculty of Law. The school reflects a strong commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration. It integrates the Asia Global Institute and the Centre on Contemporary China and the World, focusing on global governance and policy analysis. Both IGPP and SGP expressed that the visit would serve as an important opportunity to further strengthen substantive exchanges and institutional cooperation between the two institutes and their respective universities.
