From October 26th to 30th 2023, Professor Timothy Hildebrandt from the Department of Social Policy of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) visited the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) of Fudan University. During his visit, Professor Hildebrandt had discussions with Professor Jing Yijia, the Dean of IGPP, regarding issues of the LSE-Fudan Research Centre for Global Public Policy, the double degree program, and the Summer School. He also had in-depth exchanges with young faculty members of IGPP on topics such as career development and journal article submissions. Furthermore, Professor Hildebrandt met with students of the LSE-Fudan Double Master’s Degree Program in Global Social Policy (GSP program) to learn about their studies and experiences at Fudan University. Additionally, he participated in events hosted by IGPP, such as the inaugural “China-Arab Forum on Global Development and Governance” and the “Inclusive Development” roundtable of the Shanghai Forum.

Professor Timothy Hildebrandt serves as the Deputy Head of the Department of Social Policy of LSE, the LSE Director of the LSE-Fudan GSP program, a member of the Council of the LSE-Fudan Research Centre for Global Public Policy, and a co-editor of the journal China Quarterly.
