A delegation led by Liao Zhang, Chairman and Co-founder of Shanghai Jibang Investment Consulting Co., Ltd., visited the Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) at Fudan University on March 20, 2026. The delegation included Senior Vice President Xin Xu, Vice President Lihao Wei, and Yan Gong, Deputy General Manager of the Business Development Department. Dean Yijia Jing, along with Associate Professor Haoqi Qian, Associate Professor Meijun Liu, and Assistant Professor Wenyan Tu, warmly received the guests.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration, as well as key issues in global governance. Dean Jing introduced IGPP’s academic strengths, core research areas, and progress in internationalization within the field of public policy. He emphasized IGPP’s commitment to fostering platforms for interdisciplinary exchange and cross-sector dialogue, with the goal of bridging academic research and real-world policy challenges. Chairman Zhang provided an overview of the company’s business operations and professional expertise, highlighting its experience in collaborating with universities and think tanks. He noted that the infrastructure sector—one of the company’s longstanding areas of focus—is closely connected to global public policy. As a fundamental form of public good, infrastructure encompasses financing, operations, and governance models that require international learning and cooperation, offering extensive opportunities for engagement with global institutions. He further emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating theory with practice and expressed strong interest in partnering with leading academic institutions to address contemporary challenges through innovative solutions.

Both sides agreed that, in the current international context, global governance is confronted with both new challenges and emerging opportunities. As such, it is increasingly important for academia and practitioners to overcome institutional barriers and leverage complementary strengths. They expressed a shared interest in establishing a long-term collaboration mechanism to support national development strategies, promote the integration of academic research and practical expertise, and advance the coordinated development of research, talent cultivation, and industry practice.

Founded in 2002, Shanghai Jibang Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive infrastructure consulting firm.
