Young Scholars of IGPP were Recruited into Talent Programs

In 2023, Several young scholars of IGPP were selected into talent programs. Among them, Haoqi Qian was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation's Excellent Young Scholar Research Project; Wenyan Tu was awarded the Shanghai Pujiang Talents project, Ziteng Fan awarded Shanghai Chenguang project, and Meijun Liu the Fudan Zhuo Xue project.

 

Profile of Haoqi Qian



Haoqi Qian is an assistant professor from Institute for Global Public Policy, Fudan University. He also serves as assistant director at MOE Laboratory for National Development and Intelligent Governance, and assistant director at Shanghai Institute for Energy and Carbon Neutrality Strategy. He got his BA in Economics from Fudan University and Ph.D. in Economics from Fudan University. His research interests are energy and environmental governance, policy simulation and evaluation, social economic analysis with big data. His research articles appear in world leading journals including Nature Sustainability, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Climate Policy as well as in Chinese leading journals including Social Sciences in China, Economic Research Journal.

He has more than ten years experiences in computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling and has developed the Dynamic Regional Economy-Energy-Environment Analysis Model (DREAM). He is the principal investigator of National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and sub investigator of Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China among other national and provincial projects. He has also won awards including first prize in The Eighth Ministry of Education Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in Universities (Humanities and Social Sciences).

 

Profile of Wenyan Tu



Wenyan Tu is an assistant professor at the Institute for Global Public Policy, Fudan University. Her research interests cover corruption and anti-corruption, bureaucratic incentive and behavior, and gender policy. Her research has been published on some high-quality SSCI and CSSCI journals, such as Public Management Review, China Quarterly, China Review, Public Personnel Management, International Feminist Journal of Politics, Journal of Zhejiang University (CSSCI), Journal of Chinese Women's Studies (CSSCI), and Administrative forum (CSSCI). She was selected for Shanghai Pujiang Talents project. She leads projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences. She won the Second Prize for Excellent Papers of the China Public Administration Academic Conference and the Second Prize for Excellent Papers of the Chinese Annual Conference of Anti-corruption Studies.

 

Profile of Ziteng Fan

Ziteng Fan is an assistant professor at Institute for Global Public Policy, Fudan University. His research focuses on digital governance, social impacts of emerging technologies applications, governance innovations. His work has been published in Public Management Review, Social Policy and Society, Information Technology & People, International Public Management Journal, Policy Studies and other prestigious Chinese peer-reviewed academic journals. He was the winner of 2020 American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) - Section on Chinese Public Administration (SCPA) Best PhD Student Paper Award. He serves as the editorial assistant for the journal Global Public Policy and Governance (Springer Nature). His research projects are funded by Nature Science Foundation of China and Ministry of Education of China.

 

Profile of Meijun Liu

Meijun Liu is an assistant professor at Institute for Global Public Policy, Fudan University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Information Science from the University of Hong Kong. She serves as the associate editor of Quality & Quantity, the program director of LSE-Fudan Double Master’s Degree Program in Global Social Policy, and was awarded Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program Award, and was elected as chair-elect of ASIS&T SIG-STI (Special Interest Group – Scientific and Technical Information). Before joining Fudan, she was a research fellow at the Department of Economics, Harvard University, National Bureau of Economic Research and the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Her research areas include science of science, informetrics and S&T policy. She aims to understand whether and how scientific collaboration and mobility influence research output, team performance and regional innovation. Her research is based on big data analytics, advanced econometrics and data mining techniques. She has been leading projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. Meijun’s research is published in high-quality international academic journals in information science, such as JASIST, Journal of Informetrics, Journal of Information Science, PloS one and Learned Publishing. Her studies were featured on Nature and the Atlantic.
