On November 8, 2024, the League of Arab States (Arab League) Secretariat sent a delegation to attend the 2nd "China-Arab Forum on Global Development and Governance". The delegation was led by Farraj Alajmi, Director of the Education Department of the Arab League, accompanied by officials Nelly Hamouda and Heba Mohamed. Before the Forum, the delegation held a work meeting at the Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP). Participants from Fudan included Dean Yijia Jing, Assistant Professor Xin Ye, and Office Director Rong Zhang.

Dean Jing warmly welcomed Director Alajmi and his delegation, expressing gratitude to Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit for sending representatives to participate in the Forum once again. He expressed hopes for further advancement in collaboration between Fudan and the Arab League. Director Alajmi thanked Fudan University for the invitation, conveying Secretary-General’s regards and gratitude to President Li Jin. He also shared Secretary-General’s wishes for the Forum’s full success.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in fruitful discussions on a range of collaborative initiatives, including internship and training programs, talent development through degree programs, plans for the 3rd China-Arab Forum, and other key matters, reaching broad consensus.
