Master Program in Global Public Policy (MGPP) of Fudan University

Basic qualifications of applicants

1. Citizens of Arab States.

2. Age: 30-45 years (healthy).

3. With at least a bachelor’s degree, and preferably relevant academic and working background for the MGPP degree program (for example a degree in social sciences such as economics, political science, international relations, management, public administration, law, journalism, etc. Basic quantitative skills are important).

4. With at least three years’ work experience in the public sectors of LAS Member States.

5. Currently working in either of the four kinds of positions in the Arab:

(1)Government officials at or beyond a division rank;

(2)Senior managers in agencies or enterprises;

(3)Executives in universities or research institutions;

(4)Employees of international organizations.

 

Application steps

1. Students submit the application materials to LAS by Mar 15, 2024.

2. IGPP, LAS and the Association of Arab Universities jointly review and select candidates, putting them on an admission list and a waiting list. Those on the admission list shall submit applications, by Apr 1, 2024 (tentative), to the Fudan University International Students Office (https://istudent.fudan.edu.cn/apply/#/user/login). Students have to provide IGPP a formal statement of their employers that supports the student’s degree study at Fudan and the one-year study leave of the student. Otherwise, their application will not be accepted.

3. After receiving Fudan’s pre-admissions, students shall submit applications, by Apr 15, 2024, to the China Scholarship Council (CSC) (http:// studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login), which will make a final decision.

4. Admitted students follow guidelines to apply for a visa and start their study in Sep 2024.

 

Application materials to be submitted by students

1. Valid Regular Passport Photocopy (Personal Information Page)

2. Personal Photo 

3. Diploma & Degree Certificate (Bachelor and beyond)

4. Transcripts (Undergraduate and beyond)

5. References (Two letters from professors or associate professors)

6. CV

7. Personal Statement (ideally 1000 words)

8. Proof of English Language Proficiency (minimum requirements: IELTS: Overall band 6.5 or TOEFL: 90 or Duolingo English Test: 110 or PTE Academic: 110).

9. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (compulsory for applicants who apply for scholarships)

10. Proof of No Criminal Record in Chinese or English

11. Statement of the employer that supports the student’s degree study at Fudan and the one-year leave of the student.
